 Rita Rose was born and raised in the mountains of Pennsylvania in the small town of Numedia, Pa. She attended and graduated from Southern Columbia High School with honors. She met Bruce (her husband), originally from Tennessee, at a country music show. They married and now share 2 children. Their son Bruce Jr., graduated from Southern Columbia High School as his mother did and their daughter, Lori graduated from Bloomsburg University with honors.
Rita Rose received music lessons in Danville Pa. for eight years which helped contribute to her success in the country music industry. She is not only a fine vocalist, but a seasoned, professional musician (playing piano, guitar and banjo) and songwriter as well.
Rita worked with many local bands in Pennsylvania before moving to eastern Tennessee to further her music career. She now makes her home in Northeast Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Florida when not on the road. If the opportunity ever arises to see a Rita Rose performance, you best not miss it or you will be missing one fantastic time.
FOOTNOTE: FYI - Carl Perkins best known for his big hit Blue Suede Shoes, used to back Rita on lead guitar whenever they were touring together. They both enjoyed the experience of putting on one great show for their fans. There are many other famous country stars associated with Rita Rose in one way or another such as, Ricky Nelson, Marty Robbins, and even the legendary Charlie Pride. But that’s another story.
